چکیده

In polymer melts, the interaction between segments are considered to be screened and ideal Gaussian chain statistics is recovered. The experimental fact that linear viscoelasticity of unentangled polymers can well described by Rouse model naively as due this screening effect. Although various theoretical models based on effect believed reasonable, cannot fully justified a solid basis. work, we study utilizing simple dumbbell type model. We perform simulations for systems in which particles interact via soft-core potential. show that, if density dumbbells high, actually static structures without interaction. also relaxation moduli interacting approximately coincide those non-interacting systems. low systems, observe deviations from For example, become relatively broad. However, such decomposed into modes bond. bond mode successfully single Maxwell with effective strength time. Our results support naive use analyze melts.

Linear viscoelasticity of soft glassy materials.

Owing to lack of time translational invariance, aging soft glassy materials do not obey fundamental principles of linear viscoelasticity. We show that by transforming the linear viscoelastic framework from a real time domain into an effective time domain, wherein the material clock is readjusted to account for evolution of relaxation time, the soft glassy materials obey effective time translati...

Presentation of the Soft-Core Double Yukawa Potential for Noble Gasses using in sillico

The understanding of the intermolecular pair potential is important for determining the physical andchemical properties of the matter. The new data for noble gasses was calculated with Soft-CoreDouble Yukawa Potential (SCDY). We studied the effect of the Soft- Core potential on the phasebehavior with Hartree-Fock-Dispersion (HFD) Potential. This model had a steep repulsionexponential term and d...

Linear Viscoelasticity of Concentrated Emulsions

The linear viscoelastic response of an ordered dense emulsion is explored by numerical simulation. At concentrations below maximum packing, the stress relaxation is dominated by a single time scale associated with lubrication, which diverges at maximum packing. For concentrations above maximum packing, the stress relaxation is dominated by fast time scales of the order of the drop relaxation ti...

A thermodynamic theory of solid viscoelasticity. Part I: Linear viscoelasticity

The present series of three consecutive papers develops a general theory for linear and fmite solid viscoelasticity. Because the most important object for nonlinear studies are rubber-like materials, the general approach is specified in a form convenient for solving problems important for many industries that involve rubber-like materials. General linear and nonlinear theories for non-isotherma...

Wave splitting in linear viscoelasticity

The problem of transient propagation in a homogeneous linear viscoelastic solid is investigated by means of the wave splitting technique. Two mechanical viscoelastic models are considered in particular, corresponding respectively to a single Maxwell element and to the series of a Maxwell element plus a Kelvin element. Analytical solutions for the split field are evaluated in terms of the wave p...
